International investigative agency, now the news is conducting multiple raids across the country following reports of an Islamic State terror nexus allegedly operating in multiple states. The investigative body has raided eight sites across Jamu and Kashmir in lieu of an IS terror funding case, along with 44 other locations in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Now the ongoing Raids in Jamu and Kashmir are being conducted alongside India’s Central Armed Police Forces and locations being raided across the Union territory include Shopian and Baramulla.
Residential places are being searched for hideouts being used by terror operatives. The NIA has also raided 44 other locations panna, India, and most of the raids are taking place in the state of Maharashtra. With close to 31 locations in rural Thane, nine in Thane City, two in Pune, and one in Bhayandar, a suburb of Mumbai. Now the agency has also carried out one surge in Karnataka. These rates come days after the NIA arrested one accused in a case that alleges local links to Pakistan-linked terror funding.
These include a nexus that is allegedly smuggling weapons through drones to extremist elements in the Indian territory of Kashmir. Now the case relates to a plot by the eighth accused, six in who are currently in custody who are alleged to have formed a recruitment cell to enlist gullible youth to spread jihadist ideologies across the country. And of the eighth, one is said to have died of cardiac arrest in judicial custody, while two others remain absconding from authorities.
