Aadujeevitham The Goat Life review: Prithviraj Sukumaran and Blessy’s brilliant film will shake you to the core

On 28 March, Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life was made available. The Malayalam film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Amala Paul and Shobha Mohan in lead roles. It was directed by Blessy and has received very positive reviews from both celebrities and internet users. let’s find out.

Story

Inspired by true events, the film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran is based on Benjamin Benjamin’s 2008 novel “Aadujeevitham”. Blasey had the idea of turning the book into a film when he first read it in 2008. However, despite many obstacles the film ultimately succeeds. The story’s protagonist, Najeeb, goes to Saudi Arabia for employment, but gets stuck on a goat farm, where he has to herd goats. The film depicts their journey to escape from that place.

How is the film

After watching this film you will be shaken to the core. It makes you wonder if it’s worth leaving your home country because it shows what can happen to a person stuck there. The problem has been brought out in an interesting manner in the first part, but the events of the second part are extremely painful to watch. It’s beyond comprehension until you see it – fighting for a drop of water, living among animals like them. The director makes sure that even if you don’t speak the language like a foreigner, you can still feel Najeeb’s pain. You feel that pain deeply in the film, which restores your faith in great cinema. However, its length is its only drawback; This seems a little long.

Acting

Here Prithviraj Sukumaran has crossed the pinnacle of acting, if there is one. He plays a normal Malayali at first, but it is amazing how he transforms into a beast among beasts. His clothes become so loose that he can only tie them with a rope to keep his pants up. You can feel his pain as he runs across the desert in the second section. Few actors can really achieve what Prithviraj has achieved. Ibrahim Kadeer’s character of Jimmy Jean Louis and Gokul Suresh’s character of Hakim both are excellent. Amala Paul has done a great job as Najeeb’s wife.

Cast

  • Prithviraj Sukumaran as Najeeb Muhammad
  • Amala Paul
  • Lakshmi Sharma
  • Santhosh Keezhattoor
  • Aparna Balamurali
  • Ashish Vidyarthi
  • Vineeth Sreenivasan

Direction

The heart and soul of this film is writer/director Blessy. Only an exceptionally talented director could have captured Najeeb’s suffering in such a poignant way. It is commendable how much dedication he has shown in each frame.

Music

A. R. Rahman’s music gives a new perspective to the film. It moves the plot forward subtly but effectively, and it fits the mood perfectly.

Decision

If you want to watch a good movie then definitely watch this.
