A Bloomberg report indicates that stock levels for several Apple products, such as the iPhone SE 3, are currently low, hinting that a new iPhone SE 4 may be in the works, as noted by Android Authority. However, it seems unlikely that the iPhone SE 4 will be launched at the same time as the iPhone 16 series. Instead, it’s anticipated that the iPhone SE 4 will make its global debut in March or April of next year. In addition to the iPhone 16 series, Apple is likely to introduce other new products at its ‘Glowtime’ event, including the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch SE 3, iPad Mini 7, and AirPods 4.
Apple iPhone SE 4 expected specifications
According to tipster Ice Universe, the iPhone SE 4 is likely to have a big camera upgrade, featuring a 48MP rear camera instead of the 12MP camera found in the iPhone SE (2022). It is also expected to come with a larger 6.06-inch OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, a noticeable improvement over the 4.7-inch screen of the previous model. The iPhone SE 4 might use Apple’s A18 chipset, with options for 6GB and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, the same chip anticipated for the iPhone 16 series. The phone is also expected to have an aluminum frame and support Face ID for easy and secure unlocking.
Additionally, the SE 4 is rumored to feature a USB Type-C port for charging, following Apple’s shift to this standard starting with the iPhone 15, in compliance with the EU’s new common charger rules. If these rumors are correct, the iPhone SE 4 will offer significant upgrades, including a better camera, a bigger and higher-quality display, faster performance, and modern charging options.
As for the price, the tipster suggests the iPhone SE 4 could be priced between $499 (around Rs 42,000) and $549 (approximately Rs 46,000). For context, the iPhone SE (2022) was priced starting at $429 (about Rs 35,000) for the base 64GB model.
