If we talk about the story of this film, the first thing we learn from all the trailers and promos is the essence of the film’s narrative. This time, the story focuses a lot on bromance and brotherhood, showing how Arthur has dealt with his responsibilities. The film also features the character Black Man.
This journey in the DC Universe completes the package. Speaking of the post-credit scene, praising it is quite tricky because it contains a small detail that might not make sense to the viewers. It’s a scene related to the film but not necessary to stay till the end just for that. I’ve seen this two-hour-long film in English and liked it. The Hindi-dubbed version will be released on December 22nd.
Now, about the movie: it’s more about bromance, exploring the brotherly bond deeply. The other characters make their appearances, perform their bit, and then fade away. For about two hours, they’ve tried hard to keep the narrative balanced. I can confidently say this because the entire film depends on the two lead actors. And let’s not forget, James Wan, who set a different tone in the first part, seems to have laid a strong foundation here.
So, moving forward, they might feel that this project should be managed well. Walter seems to have made it clear that this project needs to be handled like Mavel did. Walter said, ‘Just make it like Mavel.’ And the film maintained that same tone.
There’s an enjoyable aspect to the film, showing many great moments that I would highly recommend experiencing in 3D. The IMAX experience would be top-notch. However, there’s one critical thing here—the wow factor of the film’s expectations. Other than a few small jumpscares, which are James Bond’s specialty, many such memorable moments have been left in this film. If you’ve seen the first part, you’ll remember this.
Now, onto the actors’ performances.
I believe Jason really owned his character, possibly given a free rein by Warner Bros., allowing him to craft his own path in this film. And Jason Momoa, besides promoting his own brand, seemed so effortlessly relaxed throughout the movie; his presence is hard to miss. Now, as for Aquaman’s powers, all the hype built up in the previous Aquaman movie, well, leave that outside when watching this one. As for Patrick Wilson’s character, diving deep into the specifics might spoil the surprises the story holds. He does bring in some noteworthy moments to the film.
Aside from that, I feel like I’ve covered it all. If I praise this film any more, I’d probably run out of words. In simpler terms, it reminds me of an average flick that might fade from memory. Oh, and if you’re aiming for that 3D experience
Going to the theater is a must, you know! Without facts, this is just my opinion. Ah, my brain cells are firing! Let me dial it down a bit. Now, I was recommending you to experience this film in the theater, especially if you want that 3D thrill. If you ignore the factors, it will be much better. If you’re not into 3D, then watching it at home might be a better bet. In my view, that’s about it.
For the action in this film, I’d give it three stars. Now, moving on to the comedy, the movie’s comedy moments are quite good, bringing a smile in several places, so keeping that in mind, I’d rate it around two and a half stars. Talking about the drama, some quirky experiments have been made here, slightly more than necessary. Hence, I wouldn’t give it more than two stars.
Regarding the film’s horror appeal, there isn’t anything too special. It’s horror but not that scary. There’s not much to boast about in terms of horror elements in the movie. It’s taken the concept of a minor cut in the hand and made it a joke. And if I talk about removing the horror aspect, then the horror element in the film is quite plain and simple.
If you ask regular moviegoers, they’d probably be pretty happy after watching this film. For them, it’s just a solid, entertaining movie. Now, critics might have mixed feelings about it. They might see it as a good ‘B’ grade film, but personally, I’d nudge it a bit higher, maybe to a ‘B-plus’ level. It’s a decently enjoyable flick, especially if you’re into that 3D experience that’ll make you want to come back for more.
The film really focuses on that aspect, you know? But hey, that’s just my take on it. Feel free to drop a line in the comments and let me know what you think
