BJP Chooses Tribal Leader Vishnudev Sai as Chhattisgarh CM

Vishnu Deo-Sai, an imminent tribal leader from the Kansa-Bellarea of the Chhattisgarh-Kunkuri region, has been put forward by the B. J. As the next Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh following their substantial victory in the state legislative assembly elections. Previously, the B. J. Hadn’t nominated any for the CM role before the elections, focusing the campaign solely on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. However, discussions about CM candidates circulate to Delhi for about a week post the victory.

The party has now decided to endorse who hails from the Adivasi community for this race. Vishnudev Sai, originally a farmer from the Bagya village near Kandhs Abel in the Chhattisgarh, represents the Adivasi community, the largest population segment in the state. He’s closely associated with Raman Singh and has initiated his political journey in 1989 by becoming the punch from Village Bagya.  In 1999, he was elected as the member of Parliament from the Raigarh, lok sabha, constituency. Subsequently, he was appointed as Pradesh Adhyaksh of the B. J. P. In 2006. He won the elections again in for the 15th lok sabha  from the Raigarh, lok sabha, assembly. Later in 2014, he was elected once more from Raigarh. In central government, Modi’s administration appointed him as the Minister of State for Steel, Mines, Labor, and Employment from May 27 to 2019.

The party named him as the member of national executive and special invitee on second of December 2022. Furthermore, on eighth of December 2023, Vishnadev Saeed became the member of the B. J. P’s national executive committee. In addition to holding positions such as the central minister and member of parliament, he has also been a B. J. P. As state president since 2020. He is one of the close leaders of the SONG and is well-known for having a high profile to the point where party has given him the highest rank.

The B. J. P. Is once again using his well-known tribal card by designating Vishnu Deo as the next chief minister. Tribal’s did help the Bharti Janata party win in Chhattisgarh. Furthermore, the party may now view this as a gesture of gratitude.
