Major country music star Morgan Wallen remained in jail Sunday night after being accused of throwing a chair from a Broadway bar.
According to an arrest warrant, Wallen, 30, was on the rooftop of the Chiefs Bar at 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, where witnesses described seeing him pick up a chair, throw it off the roof, and laugh at it. The bar’s rooftop is six floors above Broadway.
According to Operation Grace, two officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department say they were on Broadway and the chair fell three feet away from them. Authorities confirmed Wallen’s allegations with a review of bar employees, witnesses, and security footage.

Wallen was released from the Davidson County Jail on $15,250 bond at approximately 12:30 a.m. following his arrest. He faces immediate legal commitment on charges that include three counts of wanton endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct.
In response to the incident, Wallen’s attorney Vorrick Robinson released a statement expressing his full support for his case, saying, “At 10:53 p.m. Sunday, Morgan Wallen was charged with the crimes of aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct. Was arrested. I went.” “Downtown Nashville. He was fully cooperative with authorities.”
Chiefs Bar, owned by talented country music star Eric Church, recently held its grand opening.
In February 2021, Morgan Wallen publicly apologized following a video released by TMZ showing him using a racial slur in Nashville. His record label, Big Loud, “suspended” him, and his music briefly disappeared from radio stations and the CMT country music channel.

However, despite the controversy, Wallen’s popularity soared, and he achieved one of the year’s biggest music successes. His album “Dangerous” made history as the first country music album to spend seven consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Since then, Wallen has maintained his chart-topping success. His song “Last Night” secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart, and his album “One Thing at a Time” topped the Billboard 200 year-end chart.
