Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda recently suffered an accidental gunshot injury, which has caused significant concern among fans and well-wishers. The actor’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, has now shared further details about the unfortunate incident.
According to Tina, the accident occurred early in the morning while Govinda was preparing for a trip. As he was placing his licensed revolver into a secure cabinet, it accidentally slipped from his hands, causing a misfire. The bullet struck his left leg between the knee and ankle. Tina acted quickly, driving her father to a nearby hospital, where he received immediate treatment.
Govinda, who has since stabilized, remains under observation in the ICU, with doctors closely monitoring his condition. The actor has reassured his fans through a voice message, expressing his gratitude for their prayers and the care he has received from the medical team.
Mumbai police have recorded statements from both Govinda and Tina as part of their investigation into the incident. Further inquiries are ongoing, but initial reports suggest that the incident was indeed accidental, with no foul play suspected.
Govinda is expected to stay in the hospital for a few more days, after which he will need to rest for several weeks as part of his recovery.
