Inside the Biden Campaign: How They Raised $90 Million in March

Joe Biden’s team shared some big news about his campaign finances. They raised more than $187 million in the first three months of 2024, almost double what they raised last time.

In March, when Biden clinched the Democratic Party nomination, he received more than $90 million, up from $53 million a month earlier. He also has $192 million in cash, the most for any Democratic candidate this election cycle.

Biden’s campaign is performing better financially than his Republican rival Donald Trump. Experts believe this is because Biden is already the president and has the support of previous Democratic leaders.

Last month, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton helped raise more than $25 million at a fundraiser in New York City.

The money came from multiple sources, including Biden’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and other groups. Most donations were small, less than $200, with more than 1.1 million donors contributing nearly $2 million.

Biden’s team now has more than 212,000 regular donors, double the number of donors they had during the last election.

They plan to spend $30 million on ads in key states targeting different voter groups. He has also been busy in several programs and tours of major states to garner support.
