This time Congress is feeling strong in Mysore because this time after two decades, Congress has won both the assembly seats of Kodagu.
Before Yaduveer Vodia, the successor of this royal family, Shri Kant Dutt Vodia contested the Lok Sabha elections six times, won four times, and lost twice. Yaduveer, the current heir of the Variyar royal family, is from the Kshatriya caste and Lakshman and Kalinga are from the Mysore Assembly. There are eight seats in the Lok Sabha. Out of which Congress won five seats, JDS won two seats and BJP won one seat, taking its number to 15.
