Kennedy family members to endorse Biden over RFK Jr.

Calling it an “inconceivable honor,” President Joe Biden obtained signatures from over a dozen Kennedy family members in a show of force intended to undermine independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign.

At the Philadelphia event, Biden spoke about the family’s legacy and how it influenced his political career. He referred to their father, former US assemblyman and Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. as the “only two political icons I had growing up.”

I flash back to keep looking and remind myself what they would do in tough calls, ” Biden saidrepresenting the busts of Kennedy and King he keeps in the Oval Office.

pates suggest Kennedy’s shot could play a spoiler as Biden seeks to win a reelection rematch against Trump. A March study by Ipsos set that Kennedy choosers were more likely to be women, independents, or displeased with both major-party campaigners. Biden’s success among those groups helped propel him to palm over Trump in 2020.

Robert. KennedyJr. played down his family’s support for his 2024 rival in a post on social media.

“ I hear some of my family will be championing President Biden moment. I’m pleased they’re politically active it’s a family tradition. We’re divided in our opinions but united in our love for each other, ” Kennedy wrote.

Egalitarians and Biden abettors have sought to fight Kennedy through political action panels prompting choosers to reject third-party campaigners and legal sweats aimed at keeping him off state ballots.

Kennedy’s crusade said Thursday they had gained ballot access in Michigan, a pivotal battlefield where pates show a tight race between the major party campaigners. A March Bloomberg News/ Morning Consult bean set up Biden and Trump tied in the state.
