Uncovering the Tragic Mystery: The Case of the Minor Boy and Girl Found Dead in Assam

The bodies of two minors, including a 14-year-old girl, were found hanging from a tree in Cachar district, Assam Police confirmed on Friday. Authorities suspect it to be a case of suicide.

The discovery was made in a forested area near Silchar after locals alerted the police. Both minors resided in the same neighborhood. Despite attempts to gather information from the family, they remain unresponsive. According to locals, the two went missing on Thursday evening.

The bodies have been transferred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for post-mortem examination, as stated by Shital Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) for Cachar district.

“We are actively investigating the incident, and the family members will be interviewed. At this stage, no formal complaint has been lodged by the family,” Kumar informed HT on Friday.”
