New Aadhaar Card: Free Registration & Update

Last month, Aadhaar cards of 16,134 children were made in the district. 46 centers were selected only for children. The work of making and improving cards is going on at 27 centers. Two Aadhaar centers will be established in each block.

Aadhaar card is mandatory for children from class 1 to 12 in government and private schools. The work of making an Aadhar card has started.

Now Aadhar card is necessary for every child for school admission. The work of creating Aadhaar at the remaining 19 centers will begin by the end of April. It is mandatory for children studying in government schools to link their Aadhaar card with their bank account.

Two machines installed at one center

The District Education Office has installed two machines each at the centers designated for Aadhaar cards so that children and parents do not face any inconvenience. Students of classes 1 to 12 of private and government schools can get Aadhaar cards made at these centers. Information about which center to go for an Aadhar card can be obtained from the headmaster or block education officer.

The fee for updating the new Aadhar card will be Rs 50 to 100

Free for Aadhar card and Rs 50 to 100 for correction. Money may have to be spent to correct the mistake. The District Education Office is receiving complaints that the operators are taking money from parents. School principals have been advised to obtain Aadhaar numbers and complain about demands for money.
