Resignation Amid Biden’s Gaza Policy: Education Official Steps Down

Gaza is taking a beating from continuous Israeli airstrikes, and there’s rising dissent within the White House about supporting Israel’s military actions.

Resignations in US Government Grow

An Education Department official stepped down due to Washington’s stance on the conflict in Gaza, followed by Tariq Habash, the second White House staffer to resign. This departure aligns with a trend—another State Department sales official also resigned. Dissatisfaction within the Biden administration is on the rise, highlighted by 17 former Biden campaign staffers anonymously urging for a Gaza ceasefire and reconsideration of military aid to Israel. This swell of criticism marks a growing trend within the White House and State Department.

Call for Gaza Ceasefire

Back in December, a masked group held a vigil outside the White House, urging for a Gaza ceasefire. Since November, there’s been a constant flow of petitions and dissenting messages, all pressuring Washington to alter its Gaza stance and advocate for a ceasefire in the region.
