Tragic death of famous Spanish chef Daniel Redondo former partner of MasterChef Brazil judge

Spanish chef and master chef Daniel Redondo, the former husband of a Brazilian judge, passed away.

Daniel Redondo, a renowned Spanish chef and co-founder of the Manoa Restaurant in São Paulo, tragically lost his life at the age of 46 in a motorcycle accident on Friday, November 24. This news was confirmed by his first wife and partner Helena Rizzo on Saturday, November 25, who spoke on behalf of the Redondo family and the Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca.

Redondo, who was known for his culinary skills at El Celler de Can Roca at the age of 27, met Helena Rizzo during his time at the restaurant. In 2006, the couple opened an establishment named Manoa, which blended Spanish avant-garde dishes presented by Ferran Adrià with Brazilian ingredients through research.

Redondo stayed with Mānoa until 2016 when Helena took over the restaurant’s kitchen entirely. The exact cause and location of the accident have not been confirmed yet.
