Trump has until Monday to obtain a $454 million bond for his civil fraud lawsuit

New York City, NY: In a significant development, New York Attorney General Letitia James is stepping up efforts to investigate former President Donald Trump’s assets, focusing on his prized Republican golf course and private estate, 7 Springs.

The increased scrutiny comes in the wake of Trump’s failure to secure a $454 million bond sought to cover a civil fraud verdict. As the deadline approaches on Monday, Trump’s financial situation remains uncertain.

Earlier this week, Trump’s legal team revealed the daunting challenge they face in securing the necessary financial guarantees, as more than 30 insurance companies reportedly rejected their applications. The explosion threatened several properties owned by the former president, including the iconic Trump Tower, a penthouse in Trump Tower, a Central Park hotel, and several apartment buildings.

Trump’s lawyer Clifford Roberts has strongly opposed the court’s suggestions regarding Trump’s property management, calling them impractical, unconstitutional and unjust.

However, if the route of asset confiscation is adopted, it is fraught with obstacles. Despite being linked to these properties, Trump is not the direct owner of many of the properties, making court orders against him on such properties non-executable.

Currently, the Attorney General is exploring ways to seize Trump’s bank accounts and physical assets through liens and foreclosures, marking a significant stage in the legal saga surrounding the former president’s financial affairs.

The development highlights Trump’s growing legal battles since becoming president, which have thrust his business dealings and financial fraud into the spotlight.
