Season 2 of Unstable is coming back on Netflix soon. The series first debuted on the OTT platform in November 2023. Earlier in 2023, there were rumors that production of Season 2 was shut down due to writer strikes, but these were refuted when Netflix renewed Unstable in November 2023. In Unstable Season 1, Ellis and Jackson thwart a plan by board member Jean to oust Ellis by succeeding in their carbon-to-concrete project. Ellis goes further by destroying Jean’s car, leading to legal troubles. In Season 2, Ellis prepares for possible imprisonment and tests Jackson to see if he can take over the company, while a new character may have different plans.

Unstable Season 2: Rob Lowe Prepares for Prison in First 4 Minutes
The first season of “Unstable” ended with Ellis Dragon (Rob Lowe) setting fire to his rival Jean’s (Christina Chang) car. Season 2 picks up with Ellis preparing for the consequences in his unique way, role-playing prison life in his basement with his therapist, Leslie (Fred Armisen). Ellis’s son Jackson (John Owen Lowe) humorously points out the absurdity of this.
Despite Ellis’s antics, his business partner Anna (Sian Clifford) helps him avoid jail time, but the company still faces challenges. There’s a push for Jackson to take on a leadership role, which he resists due to his desire for independence.
