After making history as the third biggest opener of all time, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas' movie, Kalki 2898 AD, saw a significant drop of nearly 43% on its second day of release.

Nag Ashwin's dystopian science-fiction epic earned ₹54 crore (net) in India on day 2, which was Friday, according to Sacnilk data.

This represents a 43.3% decrease from the ₹95.3 crore collected on day 1, which was Thursday, highlighting the volatility in box office earnings.

Kalki 2898 AD earned a total of ₹54 crore in India (net) on its second day, as per early estimates from Sacnilk.

The film opened to impressive numbers at the box office on its opening day, grossing an estimated ₹95.3 crore (net).

On the second day, the language-wise breakdown of the box office collection was ₹25.64 crore in Telugu, ₹3.5 crore in Tamil, ₹22.5 crore in Hindi, ₹0.35 crore in Kannada, and ₹2 crore in Malayalam.

This brings the total domestic box office collection to ₹149 crore over two days, Thursday and Friday, according to Sacnilk's early estimates.

Over these two days, the movie earned ₹91.45 crore in Telugu, ₹8 crore in Tamil, ₹45 crore in Hindi, and ₹0.65 crore in Kannada.
