The Election Commission of India has announced the dates of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 on March 16 at 3 pm.

Election dates are announced by a televised live conference. The Election Commission said that voting has been planned in 7 phases for the general elections.

Which will start from 19th April and end on 1st June. The results will be declared on June 4. He said that there will be no simultaneous voting for homogeneous elections.

Assembly elections will be held in Andhra Pradesh on 13 May, Sikkim on 19 April, Arunachal Pradesh on 19 April and Odisha on 13 May.

The Election Commission also said that voters above 85 years of age will be allowed to vote from home.

Minimum essential facilities like drinking water and toilets will be provided at all polling stations. The tenure of the current Lok Sabha is ending on June 16.
