In the year 2020, an emergency meeting of foreign ministers of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Corporation) Contact Group was held on the issue of Kashmir. Owaisi had called this step a violation of India’s commitment to ratify the UN Security Council resolution.
In the same meeting, those two reports of the United Nations were welcomed in which it was said that the human rights of the people have been systematically violated in Kashmir.
