Wolfs is getting a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on September 20, 2024. After that, it will be available to stream on Apple TV+ starting September 27, 2024. Originally, the plan was to release the movie in more theaters. However, Apple, which owns the streaming rights, changed their mind. They decided to scale back and release it in fewer theaters. Apple is also working with Sony Pictures Releasing to handle its theater release.
Why the Limited Release?
Initially, Clooney and Pitt both agreed to take less money to ensure a bigger theater release for the film. However, Apple executives later worried the movie might not do well in theaters. So, they decided to avoid the risk and limit the release. Apple even canceled a national marketing plan for the movie that was supposed to run during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie has a 68% rating based on 37 critic reviews. The average score given is 6.0/10. On Metacritic, the film has a score of 62 out of 100 based on 23 reviews. This shows that the movie is getting mostly positive feedback, but it’s not a huge hit with everyone.
