The cause of death wasn’t disclosed, but in May, his family revealed that Sullivan had suffered a devastating accident, leading to emergency surgery that saved his leg and life but resulted in severe complications, including sepsis and encephalitis.
Throughout his storied career, Kevin Sullivan faced off against wrestling legends like Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, and The Road Warriors. He was renowned not just for his in-ring persona but also for his work as a booker, where he created some of wrestling’s most intriguing storylines.
WWE executive Triple H honored Kevin Sullivan, highlighting his exceptional creativity and influence in the wrestling world. He noted that Sullivan had one of the most distinctive minds in the industry, constantly pushing the limits and crafting some of the most captivating characters to ever enter the ring. Triple H added that Sullivan’s dedication to wrestling was unwavering and extended his condolences to Sullivan’s family, friends, and fans.
