Fourth Victim Recovered from Baltimore Bridge Collapse, FBI Investigation Underway

The fourth victim of the Baltimore bridge collapse was recovered from a submerged construction vehicle.

The body of a fourth victim was recovered on Monday after divers spotted a missing construction vehicle, where they found the body. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed at the family’s request.

 The collapse happened on March 26, when a ship hit the Francis Scott Bridge, leading to six deaths. The FBI is now investigating the incident to understand what happened. Federal agents have been at the site since then.

 Eight workers were on the bridge when the ship hit it, and two were saved that day. Two more bodies were found two days later, and the third was found earlier this month. The fourth victim was identified this week.

 Officials are respecting the family’s privacy by not releasing the name. The FBI is also conducting investigations on the cargo ship involved. Recovery efforts are ongoing, involving various agencies.

The NTSB is also investigating. Baltimore’s Mayor pursued legal action for accountability in the crisis. The 47-year-old bridge collapsed when a ship struck it, causing workers to fall into the river.

The City of Baltimore will take decisive action to hold all responsible parties accountable for the Key Bridge tragedy, including the ship’s owner, charterer, operator, manufacturer, and other potentially liable parties.

Additionally, programs will be implemented to support the families of the victims and those affected by the catastrophe. re, a major transportation hub, was closed due to the accident.

The federal probe is investigating whether the crew was aware of serious system issues with the 985-foot cargo ship before the collapse. The National Transportation Safety Board is conducting a separate inquiry, with a preliminary report anticipated in early May.
