Jonathan Majors Found Guilty of Assault Harassment

Actor Jonathan Majors has been dropped by Marvel Studios following his conviction of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend by a New York jury. Marvel had plans for a movie franchise centered around Majors before his arrest in March. Today, during the court session, Jonathan Majors left under tight security after being found guilty of assault and harassment. He was cleared of two other charges which necessitated proving Majors committed those acts intentionally.

The 34-year-old’s career has taken a hit since his arrest in March after a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabari. While he had roles in Marvel Films and Cree Three, it was his standout performance in the TV series Lovecraft Country that gained Hollywood’s attention. During deliberations, the jury requested to rewatch surveillance footage in slow motion, showing Majors seemingly pushing Jabari into a black escalade. Another video displayed Jabari chasing Majors after the incident. Testimony suggested she had grabbed Majors’ phone after spotting a text from another woman. Jabari’s criminal complaint accused Majors of assaulting her, causing a cut behind her ear and fracturing her finger.

Majors and his family declined to speak to the media upon leaving court today. Grace Jabari, absent during the verdict reading, released a statement expressing satisfaction in seeing justice served. Majors faces up to a year in prison and is slated for sentencing on February sixth.
