Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the world’s largest diamond bourse in Gujarat, marking a significant milestone. The Surat Diamond Bourse now stands as the planet’s largest office complex, boasting an impressive 6.7 million square feet area. Located in Kajad village near Surat city, this monumental facility is set to become a global epicenter for trading rough and polished diamonds, alongside exquisite jewelry.

Prime Minister Modi fittingly christened Surat as the ‘Diamond City’ after this momentous inauguration. Additionally, he unveiled a cutting-edge integrated terminal at Surat Airport, designed to efficiently cater to 1200 domestic and 600 international passengers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently underscored the importance of government schemes reaching people effortlessly. He emphasized that initiatives like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should ensure easy access to housing without citizens having to navigate complex processes.

‘The government needs to take the lead, making the process smooth,’ he noted, highlighting that under his leadership, around four crore families have secured permanent homes through these efforts.
