Vaalvi Wins Best Marathi Film at 70th National Film Awards

Marathi actor Swapnil Joshi is overjoyed and deeply grateful after his film Vaalvi won the Best Marathi Film Award at the 70th National Film Awards in 2024. In an exclusive interview, Swapnil shared his heartfelt emotions about this significant achievement in his career.

Winning a national film award brings a unique kind of joy.” It’s a special thing for me,” he said, reflecting on the honor that comes with this recognition.

Vaalvi marks a milestone in Swapnil’s career, as it’s his first film to win a National Award. He expressed his respect for the film’s director, Paresh Mokashi, saying, “I always dreamed of working with Paresh Mokashi. I was fortunate to be cast in the film, and this role became an important part of my life.” Swapnil also highlighted the collaborative effort behind the film’s success, noting, “The success is due to the hard work of the entire team. All credit goes to the entire team.”

Though often seen as a seasoned actor with a vast filmography, Joshi humbly pointed out that Vaalvi is only one of the 15-20 films he has done in his career. This award holds a significant place in his career as an actor. He expressed his humility and gratitude, saying, “I am glad I did the film. I am glad the film chose me.”
